Education Empowerment Initiative

Sahana Ahuja is a rising senior at the Madeira School in Mclean, Virginia. As the founder and president of the Launch Project, she has spearheaded change through various initiatives and events. Sahana's commitment to female empowerment is evident through her TedX talk on the subject and her collaboration with a woman in Nigeria, transforming an idea into a thriving business. Sahana led a team to raise over $80,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Elected as the head of Day students in her school's student government, she exhibits passion for community service and leading others. Recently, Sahana furthered her leadership skills by participating in Wharton's Leadership in the Business World program. She gained valuable political insight and experience through an internship with Senator Cory Booker.

Alexander Fernandez is a rising senior at the Landon School in Bethesda, Maryland. Alexander is the president of the Community service club at Landon, spearheading community service projects and inspiring others with his innovative ideas. His leadership extends beyond the classroom, as he actively engages with various organizations and initiatives, always striving to lift others and pave the way for positive change. He positively impacts his community by volunteering at Habitat for Humanity, Special Olympics, and leading the Landon Community.
